![]() Below the raised platform are a host of slugs guarding several items, including a Claw, 2 Black Firebomb, Human Pine Resin, and a full Shadow Set, including a Shadow Mask, Shadow Garb, Shadow Gauntlets, and Shadow Leggings. If you’ve cleared the heavy threats, the place is not clear yet - there’s still a ton of slugs to lure out of their muck, and a few Hollows lurking by trees up on the left that will transform if you don’t run up and kill them fast. Another good tactic is to use bows with fire arrows from a close distance, then run in and attack the moment the arrow strikes. For those without pyromancy, any weapon with fire damage will do - even firebombs. It won’t last long, and there will be a short period before additional fire damage will cause the same reaction - but if you plan your attacks carefully you can light them up, attack, and back off to repeat. However - being hit with any sort of fire will cause them to screech and recoil, giving you precious time to run in and deal the best damage you can. Unless you’re an adept Pyromancer, attacking with fire probably won’t kill them outright, as they have high defense and alot of health. The first thing is to understand the monstrosities weakness - Fire. The last option involves clearing out the area, and it may be hard - but not impossible. You can either sneak past the patrolling monstrosities and head to the ruins up ahead, or try and run through them grabbing the items on the ground and try not to get killed. When you finish off the Cathedral Knight, you’ll have a couple of choices. The three monstrosities in this area will wander around on the other side, with the third one making a patrol route around the entire platform. Ahead of you lies a large toxic pond, over which stands a good-sized raised platform that a Cathedral Knight waits upon. Dropping down into the goop, quickly run to high ground - and if you are able, check the other side of the lift’s building to find a corpse holding a Ring of Sacrifice. Now go left to find a broken railing you can drop down to grab a Titanite Chunk. Good thing you got off on this floor.Īs the monstrosity lumbers off to the left to continue a wide circular patrol of the area, head right down some stairs to find a corpse with an Estus Shard. Not only that, but the ground floor is covered in toxic goop that will quickly build your toxin meter - stockpiling Blooming Purple Moss Clumps will be a good bet. As you drop off here, look down to see what you narrowly avoided - one of the consumed mutations you encountered in Lothric, shambling about. ![]() Beyond the knight lies a lift that goes down to the floor below.Īs the lift slowly descends, hop off onto the first platform you see, to get a better view of the garden. Fight carefully in the close quarters - and make use of his vulnerability when he tries to enchant his mace. The door on the right is locked, and further down the path lies a corpse holding a Large Soul of a Weary Warrior - as well as a Cathedral Knight. ![]() Instead, head left to journey back outside onto an upper walkway. After defeating the Dancer of the Boreal Valley, you’ll have access to a ladder leading into Lothric Castle, but that’s not where we are going for the moment.
